Accessories shopping

Since, summers are approaching, I wanted to shop for some funky accessories and therefore, I headed to Kamla nagar. I guess, there’s virtually no delhiite who don’t know about K-nags market. It’s a girl’s paradise… you will get any girly stuff under the sun at the most reasonable prices…the only catch is that you have to brush your bargaining skills before shopping. I mainly shopped for bracelets and bangles.
Here’s my haul…
  • bought these wooden bracelets pieces. They look quite funky with my casual jeans and t-shirt look. It adds color to my otherwise plain look and costs 40 bucks each.
  • my heart goes to these colourful light metal bangles as soon as I saw them. These go well with the Indian as well as western wear.
  • bought this neckpiece too. I liked it for its design and color. It costs Rs 80.
  • I love the intricate design on these bangles..
  • Lastly, these colorful glass bangles..will go perfectly fine with my kurtas.
I hope, you like my haul.. Please leave your comment.

Baking a cake…

For the past 1 year, I have developed a liking for cooking and baking... and now my mom is the happiest person. So, on this Christmas, I planned to bake a cake. I instructed my mom not to enter the kitchen.. I got the recipe from internet and gather all the ingredients for a chocolate cake.
Started my baking journey, did all the right mixing of ingredients and put the mixture into the microwave. After 3 min, the baked cake was ready and it turned out to be a good fluffy one!!! Now comes, the most important part.. decoration. It has to be tempting enough to eat na.
I coated it with the chocolate sauce I made.

Decorated it with Cadbury’s gems and sprinkled grated chocolate bar at its edges.
The outcome after all the decoration. I sprinkled sugar powder onto it for the snow effect. Further, I put some leftover choco sauce in a cone and wrote ‘Merry Xmas’.
Though it dint turn out to be a perfect cake but still I thank my stars that it tastes nice for the first timer like me.

Railway station...

Have you ever imagined a non-crowded railway station and that too in Delhi..probably not even in your dreams. But, now there is one. I have got a chance to travel to Varanasi and have to catch a train from Anand Vihar railway station. To my utter surprise, the station is a master piece. It looks more like an airport than a railway station.
Perfect building, stairs, seating arrangements, drinking water…what else I could think of…
